American Akita

Today I am going to talk about the American Akita.  How many types of Akita are there ?  There are two that are Japanese Akita and American Akita. What is the difference between two types of American Akita?.The Japanese Akita faces are  white and the body is a  little yellowish and the american  Akita faces are dark brown and the body  is brownish too.  Akita  have a double coat, what is that?. There double coat means their plush is thick undercoats are guarded by a longer outer coat.  Dogs that have a double coat blow their coat twice a year what dose this mean?. It means that the dogs have long  hair and they have to cut it because the long hair is thick. What does a long coat American Akita look like?. It looks fluffy and heaps of hair.  Find as ADJECTIVES as you can to describe an Akita. It is fluffy and the faces are dark brown and there friendly. What is an Akita personality or temperament like?.  Akita are quiet  and they protecting those they love. Are Akita scared of brave dogs?. No they are not scared of brave dogs. What was interesting?. I find interesting that the American Akita cut there hair because the hair is to long and thick. The most interesting one was  the Japanese Akita faces was white and yellow.

  1. Thank you so much Melissa. I love the pictures you have used, the top one looks like Daisy. The main difference between the two types of Akitas is the American are heavier set meaning they have a bigger frame/body. When they blow their coat you don't cut it. The undercoat sheds which means it falls out or you can brush it out....and there is a lot of hair. Daisy has been blowing her coat for the last few weeks and I have to brush her everyday and vacuum.
